God is Always Advancing...

These words were spoken by missionary statesmen J. Hudson Taylor, a man greatly used of God to open the frontiers of China to the gospel of Jesus Christ in the late 19th century. Taylor's influence has been felt for well over a century as untold numbers have answered God's call to go to the uttermost as a result of his life and ministry.

The spirit of J. Hudson Taylor lives on in New Testament Church Pioneers, a ministry of the Temple Baptist Church of Powell, Tennessee. NTCP has been established to enable our members and our college students to be personally involved in the work of God through local New Testament churches across our nation and around the world. This ministry is specifically aimed at encouraging pastors and planting local churches.

One of the core elements of New Testament Church Pioneers is the Pioneer Team. These thoroughly trained groups of young people are fanning out across the nation and the world to seek the lost, train Christian workers, encourage faithful pastors, and aid in the planting of new local churches.

World evangelism does not begin from the standpoint of man's need; it begins in the heart of God.
