Pioneer Selection Process

After each student has met each of the above requirements, passed their personal interview, and gained permission from the New Testament Pioneer staff, the decision of who is travelling is finalized by Dr. Sexton, President of Crown College. They are then approved as a Pioneer.

The Pioneers are paired with a partner based on their burden for a particular area of the world, a strong preference for a partner, or what we believe will be a strong and cooperative team combination.

Dr. Sexton gives the final approval of who will be travelling to what regions. Young men usually travel in groups of two, and young ladies, for the most part, travel in groups of four.

Missionaries and Pastors that the Pioneer teams will be working with are people that we have confidence in, and they have in most cases requested the young people to assist them. These ministers hold the same Bible beliefs and similar standards that the staff at Crown College holds.
